Με την αγορά να βρίσκεται εντός του μακροχρόνιου ανοδικού καναλιού τάσης, η αγορά επιχειρεί να γεμίσει το καθοδικό χάσμα και να διασπάσει το οριζόντιο επίπεδο που ενώνει τις δύο κορυφές. Η έκβαση της προσπάθειας αυτής θα κρίνει εάν η αγορά θα συνεχίσει την ανοδική της πορεία ή εάν πρόκειται να επιβεβαιωθεί ο σχηματισμός κορύφωσης της διπλής κορυφής.
